INTERNET EXPLORER TOOLS BUTTON
(Just experts please) How to write a very simple Internet explorer toolbar with visual basic?
I am looking for a simple source code in visual basic 6 to create a very simple tool bar for internet explorer 6 and 7.The toolbar should have a text box and a button.when you press the button the program does a few string manuplation on the text in text box and produces a URL ,and navigates to that URL.for example when I type “ymail” in text box and press the button, Internet explorer navigates to “http://www.yahoo.com”. I need the most simple code that is able to do this.any helps are highly appretiated!
Its possible, but probably not as easy as you want. Maybe you can find a firefox extension to do what your looking for (or at least something close). If you get something for firefox then you might be able to use it as a template since its open source. You might also might want to try making a widget for either the vista or google sidebar. These are very easy to make if you know a little HTML. Otherwise you have some work ahead of you.
