If mobility and freedom from electrical power outlets is your goal, then you would be very interested to know more about the gas powered pressure washer. These would make greats solutions if you need to use a pressure washer but the units are located far from any power outlets. They run on batteries and typically come in 12 volt units or the powerful 120 volt version. Most manufacturer would agree that the 120 volts high powered version would be far more reliable and powerful then the 12 volts units. Some of these units use generators to power up the burners so you can proceed with the use of the 120 volt VAC oil burner for these units. But if you are planning to frequently start and stop the washer while you are using it, try not to get one that is battery powered for ignition. These repetitious actions of starting and stopping the washer would wear out the battery real fast.
Basically, there are two types of mounting styles you can choose from. The first would be total mobility on wheels, which comes with everything you need which includes a water tank. You can literally roll up the unit and start using right away. This is perfect for situations where you can’t just drive your truck around where it is needed and use the washer. With these units, the water tank, the pump and all other parts are placed atop a power coated frame and on little tires so you can roll these units up around where it is needed. However, these are created for outdoor use only.
The other type of pressure washer is referred to as the skid mounted pressure washer. It is actually a simple unit that is mounted on a skid or a truck. You would normally see the water tank being mounted alongside these units. These units are much larger and can be used for larger asks that those wheeled version can’t deliver. The downside is you need to have enough space to maneuver the larger trucks or skid to the spots where it is needed. But since these units are typically used in industrial environments for larger scale operations, this would not be an issue at all. In fact, the units are often mounted on trailers so they can still be wheeled along to anywhere it’s needed on the particular site. These are often powered by gasoline and the water tanks are usually heated by a diesel engine.
