400w submersible pump for clear/dirty water?
400w submersible pump for clear/dirty water?
hi i have bought a submersible 400w water pump for my rain tank but i need to know if 150 litres per minute output is to much for a rain tank pump as i have a old pump on my tank at the moment and it pumps out 53.33 litres per minute
the old pump specs
type – inline
power – 240v
watts – 800w
outlet size – 25mm
volume – 3200 litres per hour or 53.33 litres per minute
new pump specs
type – submersible
power – 240v
watts – 400w
outlet size – 25mm
volume – 9000 litres per hour or 150 litres per minute
it says on the new pump that the max lift is 6m while on the old pump it was 40m max lift
you need more info.
how big is the rain tank?
how much flow are you wanting to achieve?
where are the pump curves for the new old and new pump?
what are your design points?
How much head are you pushing against?
what is the turndown for the new pump?
are the pumps on VFD?
