If you are looking for an inexpensive treadmill with advanced features, then the Horizon fitness treadmills are ideal because Horizon is one of the leading brands and also the fourth largest fitness equipment manufacturers in the world. At Amazon you will get the Horizon fitness T101 treadmill for a price $599.00. With such a low price you may not get speed and efficiency for a top running performance but however it performs well for quite some period. Because of this reason, this treadmill may not be generally suitable for use in a gym or club.
What Are the Features In a T101 Treadmill?
The machine has a 2.25 HP CHP motor with a speed up to 10 mph. The running surface is 20 inches by 55 inches in area which is adequate for users of average height or less. The incline level is up to 10% which is again an average incline level when compared to other treadmills. The deck has Perfect FLEX cushioning which will give shock absorption and support. The frame is large and heavy which is a positive feature in this treadmill. The console is pretty with 3 orange LED windows with workout LED indicators. There are 9 programs including 3 targets (Time, Distance, Calories) and 3 workouts (Manual, Interval and Weight Loss). There is a contact heart rate monitor to measure the heart rate during the exercise. The machine has Sonic Surround speakers with MP3 compatibility. It also has a headphone output for privacy. There is a cooling fan but no wireless heart rate monitor or chest strap. This is a folding type treadmill with Featherlight lift system for easy fold-up storage. The maximum user capacity of this machine is 300 lbs. The company is providing life time warranty on frame and motor, I year on parts and labor.
Critical Note on Horizon Fitness T101 Treadmill:
The 2.25 motor in this machine is not powerful enough to bear top runners or extra large user capacities. This treadmill may be recommended primarily for walking and jogging. The maximum user weight that it can bear is 300 lbs but it is better to keep it around 225 lbs for using the machine for a long period. The extra features like cooling fan and speakers are not enough in their performance. Since the machine comes in the mid- budget price range, we can not expect such super performance comparable to other treadmills with high price. Horizon has included maximum features for a minimum price and as such the machine receives good feedback from the users generally.
